BIMO and the deep blue sea

Sitting here in my office, snacking on a bit of Bimo chocolate that I got in Algiers, and looking out the window. It's a sunny day with a clear blue sky, and the (mostly) white government buildings are gleaming. Reminds me of the view in Algiers, except for one small detail - there's no Mediterranean Sea in the distance.

Thanks, Karima, for your remembrance of the events of September 11, 2001. It was indeed a terrible reminder of how fragile our world is, yet it is also an opportunity to demonstrate how resilient those who believe in life and freedom can be. We unite with you in the fight against all terrorism, whether in Algeria or America or anywhere on our Earth, a battle of the heart and the mind as much as of the body.

Karima,

And we have been thinking of our friends in Algeria during the recent wave of attacks in the Kabylie region. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all of our friends in Algeria.

FatmaZohra,

I tried to e-mail you about XML from a user's perspective, but for some reason the e-mail came back to me. Below is my original response:

Hi Tim and FatmaZohra,

It is good to hear from both of you. You will be able to tell what a non-technical person I am when I tell you that I don't know if I would recognize XML in a document if I were using it! :-) Which I think may mean that we must not be using it in Wyoming, but I will follow up with our IT staff and get back to you, if in fact we are. I think of Algeria often with fond memories and hope we can all meet there again one day!
